REVIEW | Sigma 30mm F 1.4 – Lens

DSC06854.JPG

The sigma 30mm F1.4 is the first prime lens I ever owed. This camera image quality is CRISP! You will not be disappointed. If you're looking for a great lens for shooting closeup for your b-roll or food photography, this is it! However, I would not recommend to go on a trip equipped with this lens alone. This lens being a fixed zoom does not give you enough flexibility in terms of the type of shot you can take. You won't be able to use it for vlogging unless you're using a tripod.

This is a great lens for your next videography I shot this entire short film with this lens and one camera:

Written by Laurel Brady |Produced by Sayla de Goede Directed and Filmed by Richardson Dackam - Shot with a Sony Apha A6500 and a Sigma 30mm F1.4 lens

PROS

  • Light
  • Great for macro shots
  • Great for B-rolls
  • Great lense for shooting a film, interview or documentary

CONS

  • I don't really have cons for this lens. You just have to realize what this lense is meant for and use it for that. If you're looking for a travel lens, I wouldn't recommend this one. However, this is a really good lens for food photography.

You only need two lens for your next trip. A wide angle lens and this one. With these two lens you'll be able to get great shots of almost anything. Checkout my review of the Sigma 16mm F1.4 which is a great lens to combine with this one.
